JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars victory over the Buffalo Bills in London was good for more than just a second tally in the win column.
Jaguars weakside linebacker and former Florida State standout Telvin Smith has won the NFL AFC Defensive Player of the Week award for his effort in the team's second win of the season.
Smith collected nine tackles, three pass defenses and returned an interception for a touchdown on Sunday against the Bills. The interception came off a throw by his former Seminoles teammate E.J. Manuel.
Smith is in his second season and has collected 172 tackles, 2.
