Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta was arrested June 19 in Orlando after he allegedly struck a woman in the face after she rebuffed his advances.
Skuta — who has not been charged, according to his attorney — was released on $500 bond and has requested a jury trial, according to Orange County Court Clerk records.
Skuta is entering his second season with the Jaguars and is accused of using an open hand to make contact with the woman, pushing her head against a window.
Skuta’s lawyer, Mark NeJame, said Monday night his client is innocent.
“It simply didn’t happen,” NeJame told the Times-Union in a brief phone interview.
