When the Indianapolis Colts drafted Alabama center Ryan Kelly 18th overall last month, the ripple effect reached the Jaguars.
No Kelly meant Brandon Linder was moving to center and Mackenzy Bernadeau became the in-house favorite to start at left guard.
Kelly was the only interior offensive lineman to make a pre-draft visit to the Jaguars and would have been a consideration in the second round (had Myles Jack been off the board).
“He would have been our center from Day One,” Jaguars offensive coordinator Greg Olson said of Kelly.
