As he normally does, Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell was speaking the truth Saturday night once he set the team’s initial 53-man roster.
“The biggest thing for us is getting the 46 guys that we have healthy ready for Week 1,” he said.
And …
“We just have to get through the first couple of weeks,” he said.
And …
“We have to make sure we have enough guys to play special teams and help the team win,” he said.
Uh-oh.
As the Jaguars resume preparing Wednesday for the season opener against Carolina on Sunday, Caldwell’s truth hurts … literally.
