Jaguars Insider: Caldwell, Bradley open to joint preseason practices

For three training camps, Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Gus Bradley believed the time was for self-discovery, not practicing against another team.

But that could change this year.

Caldwell and Bradley are open to taking their team on the road or hosting an opponent for joint practices.

“We’ve been in some talks with teams,” Caldwell said. “We’ll wait for the preseason schedule to come out [to finalize plans].”

The Jaguars’ preseason schedule won’t be announced until next month, but since they don’t play Miami, Tampa Bay and Atlanta in the regular season, those are natural exhibition matchups.
