Jaguars Insider: Besides Lewis, new offense a lifeline for Harbor

The Jaguars’ expected plan to emphasize two-tight end personnel will be a lifeline for Marcedes Lewis.

And there will also be three-tight end looks, which will create playing time for Clay Harbor.

“This system is very exciting,” Harbor said. “It uses the tight ends a lot and it gives our [meeting] room more opportunities to make plays.”

That Harbor is in the Jaguars’ plans shows how much has changed since last December. His banishment from the game plan over the final six games was befuddling.

First seven games (he missed Games 1-3 with a calf injury): Harbor played 61, 50, 73, 61, 58, 51 and 54 snaps and had 25 catches for 272 yards and one touchdown.
