JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The road to recovery has begun for Jacksonville Jaguars first round pick Dante Fowler, Jr.
The third overall pick in this year's NFL Draft underwent successful ACL surgery in Pensacola on Wednesday, according to the team.
Famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery on Fowler's knee.
Fowler was injured earlier this month during the first practice of rookie minicamp during a pass rushing drill.
He will likely miss his entire season due to the recovery time needed to rehab the serious knee injury.
