Jaguars fill practice squad with eight players they cut on Saturday

A day after cutting the roster down to 53 players, the Jaguars announced eight players on their 10-man practice squad on Sunday.

All were with the Jaguars prior to Saturday's cut.

For now, the practice squad consists of: receiver Neal Sterling, tight end Ben Koyack, safety Craig Loston, defensive tackle Richard Ash, offensive guard Chris Reed, linebacker Todd Thomas, cornerback Peyton Thompson and receiver Tony Washington.

Sterling and Koyack were selected in the seventh round of this year's draft.

Loston started the final three preseason games at strong safety for injured Johnathan Cyprien before being waived because of an ankle injury suffered in the preseason finale.
