Jaguars DT Malik Jackson making right adjustments

Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson understands the investment general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Gus Bradley made in him this offseason.

Therefore, when he was given a directive at the end of organized team activities in June, he didn’t pout. He met the challenge.

The Jaguars signed Jackson to a six-year contract worth $85.5 million with $42 million guaranteed in March after he became a standout for Denver in four seasons.

Bradley and defensive coordinator Todd Wash wanted Jackson leaner after watching him play at 308 pounds in organized team activities. When the team reported back 39 days later for training camp, Jackson had lost 12 pounds.
