A full-time coach for only three years, Brian Hendricks’ resume already includes one success story: Tyrone Holmes, drafted in the sixth round last month by the Jaguars.
Hendricks’ first year at Montana as defensive ends coach coincided with Holmes’ senior season for the Grizzlies. Holmes led FCS with 18 sacks and was named that level’s defensive player of the year.
“It’s been a very short coaching career for me at this point, but Tyrone is the benchmark,” Hendricks said.
Now with the Jaguars, Holmes is expected to work as a situational pass rusher or outside linebacker for the Jaguars.
