Jaguars defensive end Chris Smith has spent a lot of time this season patiently waiting his turn.
After playing 89 snaps in the first three games, Smith found himself on the bench when Andre Branch returned to the lineup in the fourth game after being sidelined for the first three games by a knee injury.
Smith then spent seven games on the inactive list before finally getting a chance to play against San Diego.
He had 20 snaps against the Chargers and got a big hit on Philip Rivers late in the second quarter that he thought might be a sack-fumble.
