The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly cut veteran punter Brad Nortman, just two days after spending a seventh round draft pick on Mississippi State’s Logan Cooke.
The Jaguars finished 23rd in the league with a net punting average of 41.0 yards per punt. Nortman had just 29 punts downed within the 20 yard line (right around the league average) and had several underwhelming games late in the season.
Nortman had a cap hit of $2,375,000 this season and an additional $2,375,000 next season.
