A successful quarterback must make defenses pay for blitzing.
Second-year Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles appears to be making strides. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley was pleased with how Bortles handled blitz situations in Sunday's practice.
"The blitz period really showcased," Bradley said. "He's always had poise. I think what you're seeing now is with that poise he's making good decisions. When he knows what he's supposed to do with the ball. It just comes out. They're tight, they're accurate, so it was a good session for him."
Bradley also said it's evident Bortles spent the summer break studying first-year offensive coordinator Greg Olson's scheme.
