Today, the Jaguars announced that they have added cornerback Lorenzo Burns off of waivers from the Arizona Cardinals. Burns was waived by Arizona yesterday after spending the offseason and part of training camp with the team.
He was signed by the Cardinals in undrafted free agency this year, playing collegiately with the University of Arizona. During his time at Arizona, Bruns played in 42 games, with 40 starts. He accounted for 192 total tackles (142 solo), nine interceptions, 35 pass breakups and eight tackles for loss.
The Jaguars will have the first priority in any and all waivers claims throughout training camp and until Week 3 of the regular season by virtue of having the worst record in 2020 at 1-15.
