At least the Jaguars’ salary cap won’t be crippled by the disappointing Free Agent Signing Class of 2014.
That’s the lone positive from general manager Dave Caldwell’s initial big foray into free agency. Armed with money and some momentum after a 4-4 finish to 2013 and needs galore, the Jaguars got busy.
But as the Jaguars enter the final quarter of this year, only unproductive defensive end Chris Clemons and solid-but-not-spectacular left guard Zane Beadles remain on the roster after running back Toby Gerhart was placed on injured reserve last weekend.
Long gone are defensive end Red Bryant, linebacker Dekoda Watson and defensive tackle Ziggy Hood.
