Three weeks after he visited Jacksonville, free-agent center Stefen Wisniewski signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Jaguars on Saturday.
The arrival of Wisniewski, who started 61 games in four years with the Oakland Raiders, adds either a second new starter to the offensive line or a quality depth option.
Wisniewski is expected to be at EverBank Field this week for the start of the team’s voluntary off-season program. He is the ninth player added since the beginning of free agency last month.
Wisniewski will compete with incumbent Luke Bowanko, who started 13 games last year as a rookie, for the center spot but he also has starting guard experience.
