The Jaguars, as expected by most, defeated the Jets on a muggy day at TIAA Everbank Stadium. The home team was favored to win on Sunday, However, the Jets scored easily on their first drive of the game.
Jaguars defensive coordinator Todd Wash made an immediate adjustment and started pressuring quarterback Sam Darnold which hurt the Jets on offense. Jacksonville’s Gardner Minshew once again played effective football and the defense recorded eight sacks in the game.
The defense did allow the Jets to score in the fourth quarter to make the score 22-15, as the Jaguars played a prevent defense with only a three-man rush.
