A new era of Jacksonville Jaguars football is upon us.
Liam Coen was introduced as the franchise’s eighth full-time head coach on Monday, and his first responsibility is to recruit a complete coaching staff.
The first position to be filled is special teams coordinator. As first reported by Gene Frenette of The Florida Times-Union, Coen will retain Heath Farwell, who’s served in that role since 2022.
“Yeah, you look at a group that did some really good things, obviously, there’s some specialists that performed special,” Coen said.
“But when I did some research on Heath, and you looked at the background, working for Pete, working for Coach Carroll, right as a former player, and then going and working for the Bills, and you saw like, okay, the way Coach Carroll did things, and that kind of collaborative approach, right, the confidence, the positivity, that message.
