Sure, the Jacksonville Jaguars lost their first preseason game in 2021 but not everything was doom and gloom. Cornerback C.J. Henderson and wide receiver Tavon Austin shined. Also, rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence made his NFL debut after months of waiting.
Then again, there’s a reason why the Jags lost 13-23. They couldn’t stop the Cleveland Browns from throwing the ball and Jacksonville’s offense struggled to move put points on the scoreboard. In the end, it’s an “exhibition game” that won’t count in the standings.
