Players helmets of the Jacksonville Jaguars (Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports)
The Jacksonville Jaguars checked a box on their offseason list when they named Trevor Lawrence their starting quarterback. However, they aren’t done yet and they have to take care of another item on the agenda: Trimming down their roster to 53 players on August the 31st.
The Jags already underwent two rounds of cuts. The last one will come two days after they face off against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 of the preseason. This will be the last chance for several players to make an impression on the coaching staff and other teams that may be interested in claiming them on the waiver wire.
