Teams across the National Football League have come to agreements on extension with players to make them a part of their futures. The Kansas City Chiefs come to mind as they extended quarterback Patrick Mahomes to the richest contract in sports history as well as defensive end Chris Jones to a four-year deal. Other players that were given extensions despite their contract not being up were defensive end Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns, running back Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil of the Houston Texans among other players.
