Even if the Jacksonville Jaguars are able to select Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons with the ninth pick in the NFL Draft in April, it doesn’t solve the issue that exists on this team at middle linebacker.
Last season, Myles Jack played out of position, which was severely exposed the majority of the time. The team spent a third-round draft pick on Quincy Williams, but he remains a project. He was expected to come in and take over for Telvin Smith who retired prior to the season. He still needs time to develop and learn the system and adjust to playing against players who are bigger, stronger and faster in space.
