Jason Myers won the kicking job from fan favorite Josh Scobee in 2015. Scobee is the all time leading scorer for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Scobee was the dependable Jaguars kicker since 2014.
Myers’ debut, last season, was against the Carolina Panthers in Jacksonville. He missed his first extra point try. The chants of “Scobee” could be heard emanating from the North end zone stands. He kicked a 22-yard field goal but doubts of his being dependable started to grow.
Myers played college football at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
