Telvin Smith is a young stud, Paul Posluszny is a stud from a different era, and Dan Skuta just doesn’t seem like the answer at the other outside linebacker ‘otto’ position.
Those three were the primary starters for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2015 season at linebacker. There’s hope and potential in two of them and Posluszny is dependable in his limited, old-school range as a middle linebacker. But they just aren’t up to snuff as a group.
To complicate things further, the players behind them are not necessarily worth writing home about either. Thurston Armbrister headlines a group that includes the intriguing Jordan Tripp and Hayes Pullard.
