Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence #16 (Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports)
It was kind of frustrating to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first two weeks of this year’s preseason. Sure, they showed their defense showed they can stop the run and there were some individual performances that stood out.
However, nobody would have blamed you if you expected more. After all, the Jags spent the whole offseason upgrading the roster and Trevor Lawrence was now behind center, so it felt like they didn’t play up to their potential. It wasn’t just one thing, they couldn’t block, they struggled to run the ball and they had a hard time stopping both the Cleveland Browns and the New Orleans Saints from passing the ball.
