The Jaguars got a winning effort from their defense on Sunday at EverBank Field.
The offense let them down.
Normally, it would be encouraging that defensive tackle Malik Jackson looked unblockable. He looked like a player worthy of the $85.5 million contract he signed in March.
It would be encouraging that free safety Tashaun Gipson got his first interception as a member of the team after signing his own $36 million deal in March.
It would be encouraging that first-round rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey tipped the pass that led to Gipson’s pick and that third-round rookie defensive end Yannick Ngakoue strip-sacked Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco.
