In sixth round, Jaguars take Ohio State DT Michael Bennett

The Jaguars used their sixth-round pick (No. 180) today on Ohio State defensive tackle Michael Bennett.

The 6-foot-2, 293-pound Bennett was the big fallers in this weekend's draft.

Bennett visited the Jaguars last month and is viewed as a three-technique defensive tackle.

Bennett is the first interior defensive lineman taken during the Dave Caldwell Era.

In 49 games (30 starts), Bennett had 111 tackles, 18 sacks and 31.5 tackles for lost yardage.

The book on Bennett is that he has a solid inside pass rush and quick first step.

Per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Bennett scored 43 on the 50-question Wonderlic test.
