The Jaguars have not received word if tight end Julius Thomas will require right hand surgery that will keep him out for at least the first three regular season games.
But the Jaguars are preparing to be without Thomas. General manager Dave Caldwell said Monday the “realistic case,” scenario was surgery and a projected Week 4 return at Indianapolis.
After practice today, coach Gus Bradley said: “Obviously, we were hoping he would be back for Game 1, but there was still a chance he might not be ready. This is unfortunate, but it’s the whole season or eight games – it’s something that has come up.
