Jaguars Report Card
Times-Union sports columnist Gene Frenette grades the Jaguars against the New England Patriots based on performance, effort and game circumstances.
Offense – F
If the Jaguars had any chance to keep this reasonably close, quarterback Blake Bortles (17 of 33, 242 yards) had to put a dent in an average Patriots defense. That never happened because nothing worked, including usually reliable naked bootleg passes. The Patriots blanketed Bortles’ top target, Allen Robinson. Those second-half TD passes to Allen Hurns and Clay Harbor were meaningless.
Defense – F
