Jaguars report card
Times-Union sports columnist Gene Frenette grades the Jaguars against the Indianapolis Colts based on performance, effort and game circumstances.
Offense – A-minus
After an ugly first half, one that saw the Jaguars accumulate just 14 yards on five straight possessions, the script completely flipped. Blake Bortles got untracked with an 80-yard TD pass to Allen Hurns, a perfectly thrown ball between safeties Mike Adams and ex-Jag Dwight Lowery. T.J. Yeldon (11 carries, 62 yards) and Denard Robinson (14 for 75) sparked the running game to a season-high 154 yards.
Defense – A
The NFL’s second-worst unit in the red zone kept the Jaguars within striking distance early by holding Indy to field goals after having first downs twice at the 11.
