It’s understandable Jaguars fans are feeling a bit cursed with the latest development of another No. 1 draft pick, Jalen Ramsey, having a knee injury that will sideline him for an undetermined amount of time.
On top of what previously happened with first-round picks Dante Fowler (torn ACL), Justin Blackmon (violation of NFL personal conduct policy) and the struggling Luke Joeckel, it gives the appearance of a franchise that can never catch a break.
While there’s some truth in that, let’s not forget the Jaguars have had some good fortune with the most important commodity: a healthy, ascending quarterback in Blake Bortles, who also happens to be a first-round draft pick.
