The Jaguars wrap the preseason Thursday night against the Redskins. Here are five Jaguars to watch:
1. BERNARD PIERCE
If Pierce doesn’t play very much, it could mean he has a roster spot as the fourth tailback. If he carries 10 to 12 times in the first half, it might mean the Jaguars are leaning toward rookie Corey Grant in that role. Pierce has a team-high 16 carries but only a 2.8-yard average. If Toby Gerhart is slow to return from an oblique injury, the Jaguars might value Pierce’s experience over Grant’s speed.
