The Jaguars were big at their strong-side defensive end spot last season with Red Bryant.
Now, they’re big and athletic with free-agent addition Jared Odrick.
Bryant was a run stopper, who offered little pass rush at the position the Jaguars refer to as 4B. He recorded one sack last season, his only year with the Jaguars, and has 4.5 sacks in his seven-year career. The 6-foot-4, 323-pound Bryant is currently unsigned after the Jaguars released him March 12.
Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Gus Bradley wanted more pressure generated opposite the pass-rush specialist Leo defensive end spot.
