For the better (well, worse) part of a decade, the name Jacksonville Jaguars was synonymous with futility. From 2008 to 2016, the Jaguars never finished with a winning record, and never had won more than five games in a single year from 2011 on.
But after years of heartache and disappointment, something happened. The tides changed. The 2017 season arrived, and with it, so did what was missing for so long: winning. Jacksonville was one of the biggest surprises in the league, with a single-season turnaround to remember. Just one year after going 3-13, the Jaguars went 10-6, claimed the AFC South crown for the first time, and battled all the way to having a fourth quarter lead over the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship.
