The Jacksonville Jaguars picked Kentucky pass rusher and linebacker Josh Allen with their seventh overall pick and it RULES, folks.
The easy comparison is recently traded Dante Fowler. Fowler played some outside linebacker but was also a pass rushing specialist. But then the Jaguars front office — Tom Coughlin and Dave Caldwell — confirmed it.
Coughlin says Allen can be a pass rusher, play defensive end in base defense and play outside linebacker. Sounds like they like his versatility. I expect him to move into role Dante Fowler filled before he was traded.
