The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a bit slow out of the gate in the big name free agent market, instead filling out some depth and special teams and it looks like the latest move of agreeing to terms with former Carolina Panthers tight end Chris Manhertz falls in that same vein.
Former Panthers' TE Chris Manhertz reached agreement on a two-year, $7.25 million deal, including $4.25 million guaranteed, with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per his agent @seanstellato.

Many expected the Jaguars to go hard for a tight end in free agency, but unfortunately the New England Patriots gobbled up both Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry, the two top targets on the market and guys the Jaguars were reportedly in on.
