Houston Texans wide receiver Cecil Shorts hopes to have a homecoming against the Jaguars Sunday.
Shorts sat out the Indianapolis game last Thursday night after suffering a dislocated left shoulder on the final play of Houston’s loss to Atlanta in the Texans’ fourth game.
He is out of a sling this week and didn’t need surgery and said he is making progress in his bid to play against the Jaguars.
“I feel good,’’ Shorts said according to the Houston Chronicle. “I’m coming along. I’m way ahead of schedule. We’ll see how things go. We’ve got to be smart about it.
