SAN JOSE, CALIF. | Ray Brown played offensive line in the NFL for 19 years, starting 205 games at left guard, right guard and right tackle.
From 1986-2005, Brown faced Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Bruce Smith – every dynamite pass rusher of the last two generations.
This has come in handy the last two weeks for Brown, now the Carolina Panthers’ assistant offensive line coach. Instead of facing the best, he’s had to scheme for the best, chiefly Denver Broncos outside linebackers Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware.
If the Panthers have an answer for Miller and Ware, they’ll likely beat Denver in Sunday’s Super Bowl.
