New Jaguars offensive coordinator Greg Olson admits quarterback Blake Bortles isn’t experiencing an “ideal situation,” having to master a second playbook in as many years at the same time he’s trying to clean up his fundamentals and get in sync with several new skill position players.
But six weeks and five organized team activity workouts after they joined forces, Bortles received a more-than-passing grade from his new play-caller Tuesday.
“He’s embraced the change,” Olson said in his first media briefing since Feb. 5. “He’s picking things up well and we’re excited right now with where we’re at.
