Most people didn’t know what the Jaguars were getting when general manager Dave Caldwell signed offensive lineman Mackenzy Bernadeau.
Right tackle Jermey Parnell did.
Parnell had played with Bernadeau in Dallas prior to signing with the Jaguars in 2015. Caldwell and coach Gus Bradley asked Parnell to give his opinion on Bernadeau prior to signing him early in free agency on March 11.
“All positive,” Bradley said. “Very good.”
Parnell believes Bernadeau brings an experience needed along the line. The 30-year-old Bernadeau has started 49 games in his eight-year career, the most of any projected starter on the line.
