Call Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta stubborn for trying to play through a groin injury Nov. 19 against Tennessee. He aggravated it in the first half, forcing him out of Sunday’s game against San Diego.
“I hate not playing,” he said. “I don’t regret it. I think I helped the team a little bit and we won the game.”
Just don’t call Skuta unique for playing at less-than-optimum health.
“It happens all the time,” he said. “But there’s obviously a good amount of risk that takes place with that, too.”
As the NFL calendar races to December, players league-wide face the same risk-reward dilemma Skuta did before the Titans game.
