HOOVER, ALA. | Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema had two words when asked to assess the NFL chances of former Razorbacks quarterback Brandon Allen, now a rookie with the Jaguars.
"I would say lights out," Bielema said on Wednesday in between TV interview sessions at the Hyatt Regency Hotel during SEC Media Days.
Allen was drafted in the sixth round by the Jaguars, the only offensive player the team selected. He threw for 3,440 yards, 30 touchdowns and only eight interceptions in leading Arkansas to an 8-5 record.
Bielema said he's been in communication with Allen and said his former player's enthusiasm about being with the Jaguars is bubbling over.
