The Jacksonville Jaguars have come close to fielding a 1000 yard receiver a couple of times since Jimmy Smith’s 2005 season.
Yet that last seasons, now a decade past, is still the benchmark to beat.
Players like Mike Sims-Walker, Matt Jones, and Cecil Shorts III were all supposed to be able to get to 1000 yards, yet they all fell short.
Now there’s another player trying his hardest to get there: Allen Robinson.
The second-year wide receiver is putting together a stellar sophomore campaign as his breakout season continues to turn heads. With just 10 games played in 2015, he is already only 129 yards away from breaking the 1000 yard threshold.
