In 2014, Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell had a clear and focused mission – improve the offense. He started by taking UCF quarterback Blake Bortles with the third overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft and then proceeded to add his presumed top weapons in the 2nd round with the selections of Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson.
Oh yeah, he also added Allen Hurns, an undrafted free agent out of Miami who ended up being the most productive pass catcher on the team in 2014.
