Despite rumblings of a possible holdout, T Branden Albert reported to the Jacksonville Jaguars mandatory minicamp on Tuesday and said to the media that the recent guaranteed money handed out to free agent tackles was part of the reason he stayed away from the team’s voluntary OTAs.
In the first day of minicamp, Albert took reps with the third team behind rookie Cam Robinson and Josh Wells, but still projects as the Jaguars starting left tackle for 2017.
Albert is coming off a 2016 campaign in which he posted a career-worst PFF grade of 42.
