The first number one pick in Jaguars history has been made, and with it comes former Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence. The superstar QB only lost two games in college, while throwing 90 touchdowns. Lawrence also ran for almost 1,000 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns.
Many scouts, including former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum have compared Lawrence to Broncos legend and Hall of Famer John Elway, as did The Ringer’s Danny Kelly.
This is the first time in Jaguars history that they have had the number one overall pick. They’ve had the second pick three times.
Lawrence will come into a Jaguars offense already with weapons at his arsenal.
