The Jacksonville Jaguars had another down year in 2014, but the play of some of their young players has this team excited about the future. However, the Jags still have several needs that need to be filled, and they're looking to free agency to fill those. Here are their top targets this offseason:
TE Jordan Cameron
Jacksonville is looking for a tight end that quarterback Blake Bortles can rely on, and Cameron is a proven commodity the Jaguars wouldn’t have to break the bank for. He only had 24 catches for 424 yards and two touchdowns this past season while dealing with injuries and poor quarterback play, but he’s still one of the top tight ends available shown by his outstanding 2013 season (917 yards, 7 TD’s).
DE Jerry Hughes
The Jaguars really need another pass rusher to pair with Sen'Derrick Marks, and Hughes is one of the best on the market. He has recorded back-to-back 10 sack seasons and would provide the Jaguars with a young, proven player and a scary pass rush.
LB Rey Maualuga
Rey Maualuga won’t be a star for the Jaguars, but he’ll be an upgrade in the middle of their linebacking core. He finished the season with 35 tackles and one interception in 12 games in a backup role in Cincinnati, and is looking to make an impact somewhere he can start. The biggest knock on Maualuga is his lack of versatility, but his run-stopping ability would make him valuable in Jacksonville.
