No. 16 Iowa State defeated West Virginia 28-11 on Sunday, sending wrestlers Earl Hall, Wil Stetzel, Tyler Swope and Tanner Weatherman out with a win on senior day.
ISU won its first four matches to jump out to a comfortable lead, and collected seven wins overall. Cyclone heavyweight Quean Smith opened the day with a 3-1 sudden victory in overtime, and Kyle Larson followed with a win by injury default when his opponent, Zeke Moisey, couldn’t continue at 125 pounds.
Hall followed with a 10-5 decision at 133, and Nathan Boston followed Hall with a 4-3 decision over Tony DeAngelo at 141.
