Marcus Coleman decided to stay home for college.
Coleman, a rising-senior at Ames High School, committed commitment to the Iowa State wrestling team on Monday afternoon.
“Excited to announce that I will be staying in Ames to continue my academic and wrestling career as a (Cyclone),” Coleman posted on Twitter.
Coleman is a two-time state champion for the Little Cyclones. He won the 170-pound Class 3A state championship this past February, and won the 152-pound title a year ago. He projects as a 174/184 pounder for the Cyclones.
Last summer, Coleman placed second at the Cadet national freestyle championships at 160 pounds.
