Before Thursday’s practice, Seanna Johnson was asked about the Iowa State women’s basketball’s first game against TCU. She formed a smile. She remembers that game.
“Most definitely,” she said. “That’s been on my mind a lot. I’m really excited to play them again. I think it’ll be a good game.”
That day, Jan. 27, was Johnson’s first game back after she injured her knee against No.4 Baylor four days earlier. She was not herself then. The stats reflected as much, as she shot 1-for-11 for three points while the Cyclones lost, 72-62.
It is that reason Johnson is excited for today’s rematch in Fort Worth.
